My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. For those of you that know me, you know that I am not the most sportiest person, so there has to be a good reason for me to run a Cancer Research 5K race...and here it is: Saturday 27th May should have been my mum's 60th Birthday; She was diagnosed with Cervical cancer far too late and I lost her when she was only 58 and full of dreams, vitality and wishes to live and keep travelling around the world. She enjoyed the simple things in life, she could find beauty in everything and she was the most active woman I have ever met, always wanting to learn new things... she loved to dance, will spend long hours in the gym and she created beautiful pieces of art... My mum was caring, strong and an inspiration for all us... even in her last weeks, when she couldn't leave her bed she decided to use her time learning a new language using her tablet... I want to honour her memory on her special day by doing something that she would love to see me doing. I want to be able to help bring forward the day when cancer can be beaten, be able to help towards the early detection of the symptoms so that people can live longer. I want to be a part of a cause that helps to enrich and save the lives of so many wonderful people of all ages and backgrounds. I want to make sure that no child has to go through this, and no grandchild like my nephew has to miss the chance to know their beautiful and awesome grandmother... I hope you can support me by donating as much or as little as you can. Please donate through the following page: It's simple, fast and completely secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
