Hannah's Race for Life
Wakefield Pretty Muddy 5k 2019
Sat 15 Jun 2019 - Sat 15 Jun 2019
I'm taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money to beat cancer sooner and to celebrate those close to me who beat it.
I’m running for Faye’s dad, who last year was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Him and his family have received the most incredible support and medical attention over this time, and he’s still battling it so strongly now, as we hope for him to be almost in remission. I’m also running for my mum’s mum Pauline, who I’m devastated I never got to meet after she passed away from blood cancer before I was born. I’m also running for my grandad, who sadly died three years ago, but previously beat two different cancers years before that. Finally, I’m running for my boyfriend’s Auntie ‘Betty’ - who lose her battle to cancer a few years ago. I never got to meet the lovely Betty and I so wish I could have done, and no family should ever have to lose their fiancé, sister, daughter and auntie. I’m so honoured to be running for each of these people and to be doing it alongside my best friend to raise as much money as we can to beat cancer sooner.
