Cancer is a sensitive word in our family... 5 years ago, our beloved Great Granddad passed away after being diagnosed with cancer. Only a month later, our Uncle passed away after fighting his battle for 10 years. On the 12th January 2017 we took an emergency flight out to Spain to visit our Granddad who had dramatically declined in his health. We were told he may only have a matter of days. That day we spent with him was so precious to us - we had each written him letters with our favourite memories with him and to say our goodbyes, for he hadn't been told how poorly he was to try and keep him strong. On Sunday 22nd January 2017 in the early hours of the morning, I had several missed calls on my phone from Hannah. As I lay in bed I couldn't bring myself to answer the phone because of the fear of what I knew she was going to tell me. He had passed away. Our Granddad's brother is currently going through his battle with cancer. Every day we hope for good news. The sad thing is that's not all. That's just one side of the family. 2 years ago Hannah's beloved Nan was diagnosed with cancer for the second time after already beating it a few years before. Luckily they caught it early enough and she was able to beat it again!! However this isn't the luck everyone has as we know all too well. So please give to this amazing charity and let's help prevent it from happening to anyone else.
