To raise money for not only awareness, but to hopefully save someone else's loved one.

As a regular runner (or walker) of the Race For Life, I never truly understood the meaning and reason for doing so, and never comprehended the fight and heartache associated with Cancer. In March this year, my best friend, my Mam passed away after a short battle with Cancer. Defying all the odds, my Mam battled paralysis of her left side and learned to walk again, truly showing Cancer who's boss! Not only did my Mam overcome these gigantic obstacles, her constant determination and love shone through, proving anything was possible. As a regular participator herself in the Race For Life, I'm sure she would be extremely proud (or she would be uncontrollably laughing!) to see my asthmatic, unfit self attempt to do her wonderfully beautiful memory justice. Your sponsorship would mean not only the world to me, but I know that my Mam would be so proud of every single donation - however big or small. She was so selfless, and would have put anyone before herself, and knowing we could save someone else's life...well she would be overjoyed. Thank you, Hannah x
