My Story
Cancer Research is a charity extremely close to my heart. My Grandad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer almost 10 years ago. At the age of 70, his left lung was removed and he was treated with an extensive course of chemo therapy to aid his recovery. One year later - he became cancer free! Last month, my Grandad turned 80 years old and although he now has one lung; he is fitter than ever. He inspires me more and more every day. There are thousands upon thousands of families suffering just like mine did. Cancer isn’t something which is concerned about your health, age or how healthy you are. It does not discriminate. Let’s #StandUpToCancer
CAUSE

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
