My Story
We are a family of five who love Halloween! For the past nine years, we have been running 'spooky Halloween tours' through our house (!!) and, more recently, have been decorating the front of our house scarily for charity! This year our graveyard (in our front garden) has a bit of a clown theme. Find out why below! Our spooky graveyard will be open on Thursday 30th October from 5-7pm (quieter, please note shorter opening) and Friday 31st October from 5-8pm (Halloween!). Donations optional. 31st October 1970 Iconic Big Top is no more... A dreadful tragedy unfolded in the leafy suburb of Cheadle Hulme, Stockport on Halloween this year. The world famous Hill Top Circus, which has been delighting families for the past 30 years, caught fire during its evening show. It is still unclear how the fire was started. The clowns were performing at the time of the blaze. Miraculously the audience and circus troupe managed to escape, but the clowns were not so fortunate. All the clowns sadly perished. A few days later, the clowns were buried in the graveyard adjacent to the circus. Since then, there have been sightings of 'ghost clowns' wandering the graveyard after dark....
