I'm fundraising to raise money for Cancer Research UK

Hi everyone,
Welcome to our page. This is our equivalent of 44.5 marathons, split between the 5 of us, completed over eight weeks.

What we aim to achieve is a total of 1174 miles, laughing and crying, together, from the equivalent of Lands End to John O’Groats.... via ( a virtual) Millie”s house for a cup of tea😂.....our very own Isolation LEJOG; made all the more challenging due to the outside restrictions on exercise duration. Lots of indoor biking!

At this time of enforced isolation, there is, rightly, lots of fundraising for the NHS and the great service that they continue to offer us all in the UK. However, whilst the NHS are in the forefront of all our minds, we are doing this epic journey, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

With 1 in 2 of us potentially getting Cancer at some point in our lives, or just the fact that we have had friends, family or loved ones that have been touched or lost their struggle to this terrible disease; we all feel that this is a very worthwhile endeavour for our challenge

We are aware at a time like this that the charities may be overlooked and suffering with a huge drop in their ability to raise funds.... and that is why we as a family (with Millie adopted...👍🏻) choose to suffer on roads, and lanes around our home in Cardiff using our allocated exercise per day plus the indoor bike to put the miles in.

So; who are we???
Grant, Alison, Callum, Eilidh and Millie. Via real and virtual means we are going to smash the 1174miles (not so daunting when you say it quickly🤣🤣) by running, cycling and walking..... Keep watching and we’ll keep you all up to date. You can follow our antics on Instagram at Isolation_LEJOG😇

Oh; and thank you! PS...... if you’re a UK tax payer don’t forget to gift aid your donation, thanks.

***STOP PRESS!!!***
We made it to John O Groats..... and did it in under THREE WEEKS..... a phenomenal effort by the team; weary but not beaten. Our instagram page isolation_lejog followers have spoken and wanted us to come home, and so we are...... but Grant missed the team bus and now has to cycle back 680.2 miles to Cardiff. The others are helping out when they “stretch their legs” after being cooped up on the bus....... continue to follow their antics on Instagram isolation_ lejog, follow and like as you feel appropriate, but every like and comment will spur on our dynamic team on their quest to JOG_HOME covering the equivalent of an additional 24 Marathons...🤪😅
