My Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. I have signed up to take part in the London 2 Brighton Action Challenge in order to raise money for Cancer Research. Cancer is a disease that has either affected, or is currently affecting, 89% of people in the UK. There is currently no definitive cure for cancer, and whilst the survival rate is increasing, unfortunately; so is the number of cases being diagnosed daily. Although not even nearly in the same league, I want to put myself through a physical challenge in order to try raise money for those who continue to suffer. I will be aiming to walk (or most likely crawl by the end!) a casual 100km; starting at Old Deer Park in Richmond and culminating at Brighton Racecourse. The challenge is CONTINUOUS — 100km in 24 hours. Easy, right? 🏃🏻♀️ I love a challenge, and spontaneity is a trait within my nature, so you could say that both of those things have been achieved here, especially as the event is May 25th 2019... No relaxing bank holiday for me! For a cause that is close to my own heart for so many reasons, I am hoping to raise £600, and would be mega grateful for any form of sponsorship, however big or small! Please do give what you can, and help me to achieve (and hopefully exceed!) my target. Thank you for you reading my story, and thank you in advance for your kind support. Any words of wisdom also warmly welcome! Together, we can, and will, stand up to cancer.
