To me, cancer is a horrible word - and I'd like to try my best to help remove this word from all our lives (someday!)
Since the age of 2, my grandmother suffered with this awful disease throughout most of my life and we sadly lost her to a form bowel cancer in March of 2011.
As well as this, my wonderful godmother Gina, "kicked cancer into touch" when I was younger and its recently come back for round two. However, shes determined to fight back and I'm in awe how positive she is! It just proves that we can beat cancer.
I'm delighted to make my first 10k race to be the Race For Life in Cambridge this year before starting university in September. I will be dedicating this race for my Nanny and for my godmother Gina - two of the most important ladies of my life.
The fact that a simple run could make a HUGE difference in getting one step closer to find a cure for this disease - that suits me fine!
I've only been running for under 6 months and this is a huge deal for me just to complete the race itself.
I appreciate any donations which come my way - however, your support and good luck wishes would be greatly appreciated even more so!
