My Story
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service's Gosport Fire Cadets 2024 are bracing the Portsmouth Pretty Muddy 5K to raise money and save lives! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and has impacted us as cadets each in our own way. Our 2023 cadets raised an incredible £1229 so let's try and beat them! Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor us now. Fire Cadets is a nationally recognised programme which offers young people aged 13 to 17 the opportunity to gain essential social, life, work and wellbeing skills, including a BTEC Level 2 qualification and develop their confidence and personal skills. CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
