My Story
Thank you for visiting Dad's Fundraising Page. This is Ross - Gordon's son. Very sadly, Dad died on 22 October 2025. He was peaceful at the end and got to spend time with his family and friends in his final days. In May 2025 we celebrated his 90th Birthday with a couple of lovely parties which he thoroughly enjoyed. I've left the text Dad previously had on this page below. If anyone wishes to donate in Dad's memory - I know he'd be thrilled. He was very proud of his walks, bake sales (with his great friends, the Stanforths) and swimathons to raise money for others. With love and thanks Ross x "I'm walking the length of Hadrian's Wall on more gentle terrain at the Tynedale Country Park. This will take me about 84 days as I walk about one mile a day. In 2005 I walked the real Hadrian's Wall Path and raised over £1000 for Cancer Research after successful treatment for prostate cancer. As I'm now 86 years old I'm opting for less arduous walking conditions for my 2021 challenge. This charity is close to my heart. I lost my dear wife Ann to cancer in 2019 and my son's sister-in-law, Inma in 2020. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured."
