I'm walking to raise money for Cancer Research UK
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. I'm walking the length of Hadrian's Wall on more gentle terrain at the Tynedale Country Park. This will take me about 84 days as I walk about one mile a day. In 2005 I walked the real Hadrian's Wall Path and raised over £1000 for Cancer Research after successful treatment for prostate cancer. As I'm now 86 years old I'm opting for less arduous walking conditions for my 2021 challenge. This charity is close to my heart. I lost my dear wife Ann to cancer in 2019 and my son's sister-in-law, Inma in 2020. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
