'GOLDEN GUNS' GIBSON

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE! As many of you will know I have put my name into the ring (literally) to take part in a boxing fight in aid of Stand Up 2 Cancer on the 3rd of October. I have challenged myself to get fighting fit in 8 weeks all in aid of Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is an incredible charity where I have been lucky enough to work here for over a year. I've seen first-hand how this horrific disease can impact people's lives. When I was 11 I found out that my Mum had breast cancer, it was devastating but thanks to research (and her incredible strength!) we are still lucky enough to have her with us. Sadly, there have been others that weren't as fortunate. I hope that I can raise some money to support their life-saving research and do myself proud along the way. This time last year I would have never dreamed of doing something like this, it is very much out of my comfort zone but I wanted to challenge myself this year. Most people laughed when I told them I was taking part, they didn't think it was 'very me' but who knows by the end of this I could be the next Rocky Balboa! Any support that you could give would mean the world, not matter how big or small it really makes a difference! x
