Buildbase have been working in partnership with Cancer Research UK since 2013. For 2020, employees are taking on their toughest challenge to raise vital funds for the ALL Together Clinical Trial. The ALLTogether trial is an exciting clinical study for children and young adults with newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). The disease occurs mostly in childhood, and although survival is high, patients are still dying from undertreatment, while others are being overtreated, resulting in long-term side-effects that could have been avoided. The ALLTogether trial is looking to bring personalised medicine to children and young people with ALL, helping ensure each patient receives the optimal treatment for their cancer.
Buildbase aim to raise £150,000 which would cover the cost of a trial co-ordinator to work on this project for a period of three years.
