My Story
I am going to be giving up the drink for one month to raise money for Cancer Research! In addition to this, as certain individuals have declared this "too easy", I will also be undertaking a series of physical challenges during January! So far these are: 1. A 54 mile bike ride crossing the Pennines from my house in Old Trafford to my parents' house in Greenhill, south Sheffield. 2. A 20km run, route TBC - DONE! 28/01/17 3. A 1 mile swim - DONE! 25/01/17 Updates posted here and on Facebook! Update #2 - 28th January With not long in the month left, I decided it was probably about time to get started on the challenges! On Wednesday 25th I clocked up a mile in 45 minutes, ably encouraged by swimming partner Dave! On 28th January I decided to push for the 20km run, posting a time of 1:53:19. Just the cycle ride to do now, not drinking is the easy part to be honest! Update #1 - 10th January I have passed my first real abstinence test and managed to have a weekend in Glasgow with me pals without drinking! Today I posted a new pb on a 10km run of 52 minutes!
