My Story

Thank you for visiting my page. For anyone who knows me and anyone who doesn't I am a boob woman and have always been proud of mine so on the 9th March being diagnosed with breast cancer came as a massive shock. Following that I underwent a mastectomy on 24th March because I was told there were two different types of cancer and that it was stage 3. Now the fight starts - I have to undergo chemotherapy, a bone strengthening drug, radiotherapy and hormone blocker tablets. I’m ready for this 👊🏼👊🏼the biggest fight of my life because I’m strong 💪🏻 💪🏻 positive and I’m going to kick cancers arse!!! I have dyed my hair pink as a stand up to Breast Cancer and as I know I will lose it I have decided to brave the shave for charity before it falls out and raise what I can. Imagine how overwhelmed I was when one of my oldest and dearest friends, Julie, phoned me to say she was going to support me by having her hair shaved off with me. I have set up this page not only to raise money for a cause close to myself but also family and friends that Cancer has affected. As we all know Cancer doesn’t discriminate!! If you could spare a £1 please donate and help me raise as much as possible for cancer research. Thank you to all my family, friends and colleagues for your daily and continued support. Thanks also to the NHS; from the consultants, doctors, nurses, breast care nurses, HCA’s, volunteers and everyone else who play their part in providing a brilliant service. They have been absolutely fantastic in looking after me and I cannot thank them enough for what they have done and for the care they will continue to provide me. Please keep me in your prayers 🙏🏻 and send healing and positive vibes. Over the years I have been known for many different hairstyles and colours so will now embrace the buzz cut and become GI Gina 😃 All my love xxxx

CAUSE

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
