My Story
Hey I am Gill and i am doing the race for life not just in Memory of loved ones lost and those still fighting but for all affected. I started doing the race for life in memory of my grandad walter who was diagnoised with breast cancer which was very rare for men at the time. In 2013 i completed the race with my mother in law, pushing her around in her wheelchair this is where lucy (my dog) took part in her first race for life. Sadly in 2016 she lost her fight to cancer and me and lucy have done many race for life since. There is so many more people i could name which shows how many families it effects. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, I wouls apprectiate any donation in our fight to beat cancer Thanks Gillian x
