My Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I have fundraised for research into cancer for nearly 26 years and have raised over £1.94 million to date. The prestigious Polar Night Marathon will see me donning my Guinness World Record polar bear suit again.... and heading to the Arctic! The race takes place in the middle of the day, but at this time of year the sun never rises above the horizon. In the absence of the sun there will be darkness and sub-zero, icy conditions ... and I'll be dressed as a polar bear!!!! Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
