I'm taking part in Race for Life for my lovely niece Kirsty & to raise money to beat cancer sooner.

My Story

My lovely niece Kirsty is currently fighting breast cancer. Kirsty your strength and courage is an inspiration to us all.?xxx Kirsty's wonderful Mum Dianne & I have teamed up for this 5k. Please see Dianne's story below: My story began on the 30th of November 2017. My world came crashing down when my beautiful daughter of 26 years old was diagnosed with breast cancer. Up until that point we could still believe the worst wasn't happening. My world fell apart but I had to try to be strong & hold it together because all I could think about was being there for her. It tore me apart trying to imagine what she must be going through. I went through every emotion possible, how could this be happening to my baby girl. She has been totally awesome in her fight so far and has taken everything in her stride. After having the lump removed Kirsty is now going through chemotherapy. She continues to amaze me every single day. I love her beyond words and can't wait for the day when's she beats this awful disease. I know to some people a 5K is nothing but to someone who is as unfit as I am it will be quite something. Every step I take will be one of pure love for my amazing daughter who makes me so very proud everyday. I am so honoured to be her Mum. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
