I am doing the Race for Life in Edinburgh this year as there are few people in my life that have been treated for cancer and I know what a difficult journey this can be. I would like to do what I can to raise some money to find a cure for cancer. I have been running and trying to build up my fitness and I would like to put all this training to a good cause.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
