2020 Vitality London 10,000
Mon 25 May 2020 - Mon 25 May 2020
My wonderful husband, Simon, became unwell at the beginning of last year and, in May 2019, was diagnosed with cancer. He had extensive treatment with several admissions to hospital throughout the year. Simon was discharged into my care on 16th January. He died at home on 5th February with my daughter Chloe, my son Thomas, the vicar from our church and me at his bedside. Cancer didn't just take Simon. In June 2019 his son, Neil, also died as the result of cancer. This is why I’m raising money for Cancer Research UK. Thomas and I are running the 2020 Vitality London 10,000 on 25th May, as part of the Cancer Research UK team, to raise awareness of their life-saving research and to fundraise for them. Please donate to my page today to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured and to save other hearts from breaking when a loved one dies from this terrible condition.
