In memory of
Melanie
I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money in memory of my beautiful aunty Melanie who discovered, after over 3 years in remission, that her cancer had returned in late August of last year. Unfortunately, it did not take long for us to learn that the prognosis was terminal and after a short battle she sadly passed away just before Christmas 2022 in the care of Jersey Hospice. I'm not quite brave enough to tackle the 10k this time, although Melanie was a keen runner and so I hope I'll smash it one day! I'm sure she'd be cheering me on regardless. The research conducted by Cancer Research UK continues to save lives through it's research, influence and information, and the charity relies on donations made to continue this important work on something that will impact most of us at some point in our lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. For this reason, I would be so grateful if you could please sponsor me in running in this short race in Melanie's memory, any donations will be greatly appreciated.
