My Story
Cancer has been a massive part of my life. I lost my Nan and more recently my Grandad to cancer. I was only 6 when my Nan passed away so I never understood the effect this horrible disease has on not only the person but also the loved ones. Sadly I had to watch my Grandad suffer through pancreatic cancer and see how this disease takes away everything that makes a person who they are. It was such a rapid decline and we lost him in September 2016, a month after he was diagnosed. Luckily my Grandma beat breast cancer many years ago and continues to live a healthy and happy life. I am running for them, for everyone that has suffered and is suffering from cancer. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
