For the second time I will be running Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research. In 2015 my mum, Julia Taylor, was diagnosed with cancer. She was told her cancer was incurable and was only given 6 months to live. She eventually lost her battle in August 2017 aged just 50. She was a fighter until the end and now I want to join the fight against cancer in her memory. Cancer Research has done incredible work to help many people beat many forms of cancer. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, vital cancer research has been delayed this year so I want I do what I can to help, so that less families have to face what mine went through. I am running the "Very 2020 Race for Life" by running 5k on the 26th September. On this day millions of people will be walking, jogging or running 5k wherever they are in the world in order to raise money for cancer research so that one day there could be a cure, so no one else has to lose ones they love to this disgusting disease.
