My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured: 2017 marks 10 years since the loss of my Uncle Brian. Known widely for his kindness and care for others, he was more of an ‘extra Dad’ to me and my brother and we were so lucky to have him living with us at home as kids, and a firm fixture in our lives. Cancer overcame him in a brutal way which was desperately upsetting to experience. Despite the passage of time since his passing, it’s something I know I will never fully come to terms with. Every penny I raise gives me the hope that it can be used towards a cure, so that this horrible disease can be finally wiped out and all the suffering for the brave patients, their families and their friends can stop.
