My Story
“You have cancer.” Too many of my family, my friends, their family, their friends and beyond have struggled and lived or died after hearing those words. Some of them are still fighting today. I ran my first half marathon in May 2019. I really really didn’t know if I could do it. When I broke my right foot in 2013, the surgeon told me he wasn’t sure how long or if I’d be able to run long distances. And it took six years to get to half marathon distance. Now, I’m running the Hackney Half on 16 May (assuming it can go ahead and even if it doesn't I'll run a half that day!) to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is dedicated to improving survival rates through ground breaking work to prevent, diagnose and treat all types of cancer. Please donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
