My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving Page. Like many other people in the UK my life has been affected by cancer, my mum sadly passed away in 2017 and I have jumped at the opportunity to help raise money to a charity that could help many other families. The 28th November marks 6 years since my mum passed, 2 days after WUCs (Powerlifting competition) so I felt it appropriate to combine the two things and raise money in honour of her memory. I personally will be donating the amount of GL points I achieve for this competition. Please donate what you can and thank you !

CAUSE

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
