My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. On the 20th December 2013 i lost my grandad to Cancer. He was the most funny and unique character i have ever had the pleasure to know. He is forever in my heart and he always will be. Recently a loved one found out that they had a very aggressive cancer, grade-four glioblastoma. She has undergone treatment but sadly it will not beat the cancer. She has tackled so much in the last few months, from closing her lovely nursery to facing treatment. Caroline you are the most lovely, kind and caring person i have ever met! You can do this, never give up! I want to run this race to help people like Caroline. I want us to raise money to fund this vital research and save lives!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
