My Story
Anyone who knows me.... knows I am not a runner, yet somehow this year I’ve been talked into and signed up to both Pretty Muddy and the Race for life 5k back to back (well the day after one another) Now it is unlikely I will be able to run them with my dodgy knees - BUT I am going to walk and run them and I am going to Run as much as I possibly can especially the Sunday Race for Life! I am sure there isn’t one person that hasn’t been affected in some way by this nasty disease! 4 Years ago we lost my Grandma Peterborough! She was one of the best Grandmas in the world, she fought cancer several times but the last time sadly it beat her. The first race for Life I ever did was in Celebration of her beating the Big C, finally I feel it’s the right time (for me) to race in Memory and Celebration of her Life! I am also racing and will be thinking of: Uncle Pete (20/5/52 - 13/9/02) Claire Cloudsdale - Felicity’s best friend Patrick’s Nanny (1951 - 2018) I have no idea how I will get across the finish line but I will be crossing them both one a lot cleaner then the other 🙈 Please sponsor me if you can, even if it’s just to see me unable to walk the following week. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
