Gemma's Race for Life

I'm taking part in Race for Life because cancer affects so many of my loved ones.
Statistically, either you or I will get cancer, because 1 in 2 people are now affected by this disease. I'm running Race for Life to highlight one of the rarest cancers in the world-Ocular Melanoma. This cancer is so rare that there is no standard treatment once it has metastised. Imagine going to your doctor, asking what can be done for you and being told they don't know! It's terrifying and it needs to end. At present, research into cancer is changing and finally rarer cancers may be properly addressed. It is my hope that charities like Cancer Research UK will use money raised to help ALL cancer suffers going through this destructive disease and find answers sooner. So many lives depend on it.
