Gemma's Race for Life

So here it goes... Unfortunately the evil ‘C’ is something I’ve been around all my life, as it may have many of you reading this. There's so many different types of cancer to even put in my story, but here’s my little reasons why I’ll be doing the 10K Cancer Research Pretty Muddy Run on 20th May 2018 ☺️ Nana jack❤️ Sadly October 2017 I lost my nana through years of battling with Bowel cancer! Those that knew my nan will know she was a very proud beautiful women with her massive permed hair and never left the house without abit of lippy? but not at any point did that ever change, constantly laughing and cracking a joke (probably where I get it from)? In her last year you started to see it take its toll, from going through weeks of Chemotherapy, having problems with her colostomy, general body weakness, right down to trying on so many wigs.??‍♀️As you can imagine the day the doctor turned round and told us there was nothing more they could do to help nan, was the day we all felt a little empty inside. But even through the worry of the unknown, this little diamond still shined bright, making sure my hero grandad done his chores and kept the tea rolling, being that bundle of joy everyone loved. just unfortunately within weeks this battle broke many hearts but never took away our memories? Not every cancer is a bad ending ?..... My dad, Uncle Bri and lastly my Nana Jenny who have all battled with cancer, the weeks of chemotherapy, long hospital nights-months and ALL came out strong and better than before, but most thankfully are still here with us today and stronger. other than the old age of course ?? I’m doing this because I know every little helps and I know your all smiling!☺️ I love you alll with all my heart!! You little rockets make me proud ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love ya xxxx I’m not really here to beg for money, if your just here for the read, then great, if you want to help anyone you know whos suffering from cancer be that little star to put a smile on their face, make them not feel alone or scared, believe me it’s worth it☺️?
