Gemma's Race for Life
Newcastle Pretty Muddy Kids 2021
Sun 3 Oct 2021 - Sun 3 Oct 2021
My husband was diagnosed with throat cancer during the first global lockdown. He underwent a 12hr surgery for bi-lateral neck dissection to remove the tumour in July. Two weeks after he got out of hospital he started six weeks of intensive chemo & radiotherapy. He returned to work at the end of January an astonishing 6months after starting his cancer treatment journey. He has been amazing throughout and made us proud with his commitment to his recovery. Our 7 year old son and myself will be taking part in the Pretty Muddy race for life. We have seen firsthand how vital cancer research is and want to raise money to help towards it continuing progress.
