Earlier this year my little sister Laura was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She’s a healthy, fit, active mum of two gorgeous boys with an awesome career. Cancer did not care about any of this. A year before, one of her best friends Jo also went through the same thing. You never think it’s going to happen to you, but it does. And when it does, you’re glad there are folks like Cancer Research UK fighting for a world without cancer. Luckily, both Laura and Jo caught their cancer early through cervical screening and are both recovering well. Please donate so more big sisters can share stories with a positive ending like I’ve been fortunate enough to do.
Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.
Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
