My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. My Mum, Elaine, was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian Cancer at the end of 2020. After losing my Mother in Law Julie to the very same cancer just 3 years previous, this news shattered my world. I have stood by my Mum and watched as she has fought for the last 2 and a half years, a 9 hour debulking surgery, 2 rounds of chemo, numerous hospital stays, living with a PICC line, Double Nephrostomy and all the time having a positive, upbeat attitude. Unfortunately, right at this very moment my amazing Mum is in Intensive Care fighting once again for her life due to Sepsis Shock, this is something that Cancer patients are at high risk of getting and most commonly what makes a patient lose their battle with this awful disease. We are praying for a miracle and she is still fighting not just for herself but for us, her family. So myself, my sister Laura and my 2 cousins Lee & Danielle have decided to each take part and walk the 100 miles in May challenge. I'm going to walk 100 miles throughout May to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
