I've thought a lot about what to write in this box....so here goes.
I know far too many people who have suffered from cancer and this is my story.
As some of you will know last summer I was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer. I had been unwell for a few months and was very quickly diagnosed once I decided to see my GP. I became very unwell very quickly and within just a few weeks I had an operation to remove half of my liver and the tumours growing on it. We were all hoping that that would be me on the road to recovery, unfortunately very soon after, a scan revealed that the tumours had returned and I had to start having chemotherapy.
I'm one of the lucky ones as I'm still managing to work (with help when I'm struggling) and so far haven't lost my hair ?? My family and friends have been an incredible support to me and I can honestly say I wouldn't have got through this without each and every one of them by my side.
I don't know what the immediate future holds for me but I'm hoping with everybody's kind donations it will take us another step closer to finding a cure and helping me and lots of others to finally get rid of this disease!
Last year I ran the race for life not knowing that at the time the reason I found it so difficult was because I was suffering with cancer myself. So this year I'm going to give the mud run a shot and hope I can make it round in one piece lol
Thank you to everyone for your support and donations, we really do appreciate every single penny xXx
