Gayle's 10km Race for Life
Southampton 10k 2017

I want to do my bit to help raise awareness and fund Cancer Research, as it affects so many of us.
In memory of
Mum
It may not seem a lot to run 10km and to train for it - these days everyone is running marathons and doing huge challenges. Even so, for me this is a challenge, I don't think I was made to be a runner! So far in my training I am up to 8km, so I'm nearly there! I'm not as fast as I used to be though! It feels great to get out into the open air and just be free - free from the daily grind, and to focus on what matters - resilience, determination, and doing something positive. All of these qualities I have seen in my mum, and in my close friend, who has recently been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy, whilst also being an amazing mummy to a 1 year old! Her positivity and generosity has taught me so much. So if I can do just a little bit to help, then I will. Please sponsor me if you'd like to and encourage me onwards! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
