Gathering Storm

We hope you are enjoying our music! We are very grateful for your support. About the band: Paul who plays bass guitar.... born in Southampton, as he says a very, very long time ago ! He retired in 2011. and eventually took up bass guitar playing. His favourite music genres are Blues & Rock. Paul has known Gary as a friend since 1982 and his bass playing journey since 2011 has allowed him to meet the other band members Lance, Pete, Steve and Tony. As Paul says, "we enjoy playing our musical instruments together but we are also great mates too !" Lance who sings......was also born in Southampton and coincidentally attended the same same school in Southampton as Paul for a while. He has been retired since 2014. Lance likes most kinds of music. Tony who hails from Chesterton, Newcastle -Under-Lyme, plays keyboards was touring with his band in Germany in 1966 when England won the World Cup. That particular Saturday night when the drummer mentioned the World Cup result meant they were immediately unpopular. They survived!!! Tony like rock and blues Steve on lead guitar had not played live since his first gig in the early 1970s. This was mainly due to the venue for his band's gig being burned to the ground the week after they played there. Gary plays rhythm guitar and sings too. He is yet to retire!!! He is a fine painter and decorator. Lastly we have Peter who plays guitar, mandolin, ukulele, pretty much anything with strings. He also sings!!!
