My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to be taking on the Swim 10k Challenge in May to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Research is going to be the answer to beating cancer. I'm lucky that my Father survived prostate cancer many years ago, but I know others who have not been so lucky. It isn't just about surviving cancer either. The whole journey whether you survive or not is incredibly difficult for those who have it but also those close. I'm not getting any younger, I'm definitely not fit and haven't been swimming for ages. I wanted to do something meaningful and try to do some exercise at the same time.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
