My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January, I’m taking on Dryathlon and going booze-free for one month to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. I had a great Christmas so decided to enjoy January in a different way! 2020 is also the year that brings a couple of 40 year anniversaries for me (marriage (I have been lucky)) and work. Therefore, in addition to doing my daily run I will see if I can also double the 40 and get to a position of doing 80 press ups and 80 sit ups in a single session by the end of the month. Plus my family and I have had to live with Cancer with varying degrees of success over the years and hopefully a little donation could help others in the future. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
