My Story

In January 2021 our lives were changed forever when my mum was diagnosed with cancer. We were told that the doctors could do their best to contain the cancer but would not be able to cure it. From receiving the news to the very end, mum did everything she could to fight back and keep going, she gave us a full year of memories, birthdays, a family weekend away and Christmas until she could fight no more. A very loving, caring and kind Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Sister, Auntie, Grandma and Friend who will be deeply missed. ‘To the world you may be one person; but to us you were the world.' Thank you for you donation. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
