Gabrielle's Shine Walk Your Way
Sat 26 Sep 2020
My name is Gaby, I’m 37, currently working as an anaesthetics registrar in London, and I was diagnosed in October 2015 with stage II invasive ductal breast cancer. I underwent 8 cycles of neo-adjuvant chemotherapy before having a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, targeted immunotherapy and long-term hormone therapy. Without lifesaving treatment as a consequence of pioneering cancer research, I would not be alive today. This is my opportunity to give back, and help the many people each day diagnosed with cancer. Our lives may have been put on hold at the moment, but cancer hasn't stopped. To make sure people are still getting the support they need, I'll be taking part in Shine Walk Your Way. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now!
