My Story
There have been far too many cancer hurdles in my life. - In 2014 I lost my Lars to cancer and just 1 year following, was diagnosed with grade 3/4 brain cancer, aka Oligodendroglioma. February 2016, my brain surgery on my temporal lobe went ahead, and I was then put through post-op treatment, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which went on until early 2017. Since then, it’s been a learning curve to keep focus and work through concentration and reconstruction of the language (primarily nouns) and memory loss. Working hard on reconstructing normality to my home life, I created Wholesome World app to share life, health, recipes galore, links to scientific info and enhance the awareness of charities to enhance health and donate to Charity research, like Cancer Research UK. Jumping in the ocean to help the Charity funding is so worth it... I'm braving the Cold Water Challenge in November This November, I’m doing immersing myself in cold water every day of the month to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. All of us can support the research that will beat it. Help fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. Cannot believe how this number is growing...
