We’re taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer as we’ve both been affected by it..

My Story
So Cait and I decided to take part in this year’s Race for Life in Chesterfield, in memory of her mum and my sister Carol who died last November. Losing someone to cancer is desperately hard...seeing their health slowly deteriorate is heartwrenching and you feel completely helpless. Carol received amazing care from the staff in the hospitals she attended for her treatment over the 5 years of her illness. I think Carol would have proudly applauded her daughter Cait today (who finished in third place with ease!) and she might have even been quite impressed that I managed to run it all and finish in 40 minutes (even with a dodgy knee)... We need to support Cancer Research UK in their continous search for cures for all cancers. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and every single pound you donate can make a difference. So, if you haven’t already handed me some sponsor money, we would be extremely grateful if you would sponsor us through the justgiving page...Thank you...xxxxx Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
