Lu Sands and celebrating Billy t who beat the big C.
In 2011 I sadly lost my beautiful friend Lucy to cancer. She was only 28. We rode horses together and had many wild adventures; her time on earth was much too short. 10 years passed and found my good friend Billy being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thankfully he spoke out and got help early. Thanks to science and cancer research he was able to undergo treatment and has been given the all clear. Im doing the mudrun to help raise funds to support cancer research and as one of my 40 challenges for my 40th year of life. Im not afraid of mud but its been a LOOOONNNNNGGGG time since i ran...just running after a 4 yr old is enough to make my legs feel like lead these days, but every ache and pain will be worth it if it helps save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
