Francesca's Race for Life

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Recently I’ve experienced the fear that comes with a simple letter inviting you for further tests at the Mermaid Centre. Whilst I was waiting and then after the doctor had explained what she was looking for from the ultrasound, I was even more determined to complete the Race for Life. 1 in 2 are pretty scary numbers, look around I bet you can soon make a list of those diagnosed with this horrible disease. Fortunately, many now are survivors and that’s why it’s so important we keep on raising lots of money. After 2 visits to the Mermaid Centre I’m so thankful that I’m in the clear! Please dig deep and donate whatever you can, my employer will match fund anything I raise. I’m going to run that race, raise money on the way and never take anything in this life for granted x
