For Granny Smith who I never met x

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. When my mum was 15 she lost her mum to cancer. It was post war Britain and post NHS and as my mum was the eldest of 5 children she became the matriarch being a mother to virtually everyone and had a heart of gold. I never met my Granny Smith but my mum got her wish to be united with her 3 years ago when she earned her wings and now is re united with her in a better place where this horrible disease that robbed me of a grandmother and my mother of a mother does not exist. The least I can do is not have a drink for a month, which people who know me will know it will be a challenge. So I make this vow to you all now that not a drop of alcohol will pass my lips between now and the 2nd February. A full 31 days !! All I ask is that you dig deep and support this fantastic cause and kick cancers arse once and for all!!
