My Story

In August of 2018 my wife, family and I received the devastating news that our beautiful 13 month old daughter had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). Our world fell apart. After 6 weeks in hospital with several rounds of intense chemotherapy, multiple procedures, operations and a terrifying spell in intensive care, our daughter was discharged from hospital and we were told that she was in remission. A great weight was lifted from our shoulders at that moment, however our little girl's battle had just begun. Her daily chemotherapy has to continue until September 2020, with the aim of the prolonged treatment being to prevent relapse. 13 months in to her treatment our amazingly strong and resilient little girl is doing brilliantly and developing into an inquisitive, bubbly, chatty toddler who causes chaos everywhere she goes (which we wouldn’t change for the world!). Words cannot possibly describe how grateful we are to all of the consultants, doctors, nurses, support staff and charities that saved our baby girl and supported us through what has been the most difficult times of our lives. No child should have to go through what our little girl and her little friends at the hospital have been through. This is why I am taking part in the Aerosparx Loop the Loop Challenge which is taking place on Saturday 9th November 2019 to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please help me to raise some much needed cash to help beat cancer sooner. Thank you so much for your donations, your support means so much.

CAUSE

Leukaemia

Five-year survival rates for leukaemia have more than tripled in the last 40 years. But despite this progress, around 4,600 people still lose their lives to the disease every year. Almost a third of all cancers diagnosed in children are leukaemia. Your donation can help Cancer Research UK find better treatments and new ways to prevent the disease in adults and children.
