My Story
25 years ago my mum died from bowel cancer. Since then countless friends have experienced similar losses or seen their loved ones battle through and beat cancer. Wonderful developments in diagnostics and treatments mean that more and more people are surviving and beating the horrible disease. I am running in memory of those who have passed, for those who have survived and those who have lost. I am also entering this challenge to raise money to contribute to the phenomenal work carried out by Cancer Research. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
