Fiona's Race for Life

I've been ‘cancery’ on and off since 2001, and have just had my 6th diagnosis, so the fun continues.

Story

Cancer happens to a lot of people, and the chances are that you have known and lost someone, in your family, or a friend or colleague.

But, increasingly, we all know cancer ‘survivors’ too - people who have either been able to put it behind them completely or who - like me - have long periods of being fine, and then have to deal with another episode when it turns up agains.

There is real optimism that cancer can become either curable, or at least manageable, and Cancer Research UK is making great strides towards making this a reality. Lots of amazing research is actually going on on our doorstep here in the East of England.
