My Story
I'm doing this 10k firstly in the memory of my grandma (嫲嫲), who never smoked a day in her life but passed away last December from lung cancer (probably due to all the passive smoke she endured throughout her lifetime). She had the kindest eyes, cooked the most amazing food and had never-faltering faith in the things that me and my siblings are doing. A real matriarch and role model. The second person I am running for is my aunty Tiana, who is currently fighting so bravely against breast cancer. She is the life and soul of any family gathering - I'm sure she will come out of this stronger than ever. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
