Cancer Research UK's Big Hike Peak District - Full Marathon
My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving Page. On June 3rd I will be walking 26 miles in the Peak District to raise money for Cancer Research. It’s 20 years since I lost my lovely mum and 14 years since my dad died, both from cancer. Far too many of my friends and colleagues have also had their lives cut short. Caroline, JJ, Jo, Sue and Ellen are just some of the other people I want to make proud! I hope that walking a marathon might be easier than when I ran the same distance but I'm not underestimating the challenge of being in my feet for 8 hours so I'm training every weekend. Whatever you can afford to donate will help other people to keep their loved ones for longer so please consider supporting this great cause. Thank you so much for reading this post!
